Barnes Rebounds for Second-Place Finish at AMS
Bandolero Outlaws racer Devon Barnes headed back to Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Georgia, to race in the Winter Flurry Series. In the feature, Barnes was swept up in an incident on the track, but was able to rebound to finish the race in the second position.

[2012 Bio] Bandolero Outlaws division driver Devon Barnes has proven to be a true contender behind the wheel. Despite his short racing history, this 12-year-old is no stranger to competition. Barnes has trained since he was a toddler to be a gymnast. Along the way he earned multiple State Championships and was selected to join the elite Future Stars program. A series of growth spurts proved Barnes would be too tall to compete at the levels he hoped to so he switched his focus to racing and has never looked back. In 2011 the young Georgia-native has accumulated multiple wins and numerous top-five and top-10 finishes in the Bandolero Bandits division. For the 2012 season, Barnes has moved up to the Bandolero Outlaws division and won his first race in this new division in November 2011.
